Introduction
Learn how to use Remote Desktop to connect to a Servidor Cloud running Windows 2016. Remote Desktop is a free program which is included with Windows desktop computers.
Requirements
- A Servidor Cloud running Windows 2016
- The IP address and Initial Password for the server. You can find this information by selecting the server on the Servers section of the Cloud Panel.
- A Windows PC (Windows XP or better)
- An internet connection
Note: The instructions in this tutorial are designed for a Windows 10 desktop. The specific instructions for other Windows versions may vary slightly.
Launch Remote Desktop
Right-click on the Start button.
Click Search.
Enter "Remote Desktop" in the Search field.
Click the first entry: Remote Desktop Connection Desktop App.
Connect With Remote Desktop
Put the server's IP address or domain name in the Computer field, then click Connect.
By default, Windows will try to connect with your desktop login, which will not work on your server. Click More choices.
Click Use a different account.
Enter the username Administrator and the server's Initial Password. You can find this information by selecting the server on the Servers section of the Cloud Panel.
Click OK to connect to the server.
The first time you connect to a server, you will see a warning about the remote server's security credentials. Click Yes to continue.
You will be connected to the remote Servidor Cloud.
To disconnect from the server, click the X on the Connection Bar at the top of the screen.
